In a remarkable display of patriotism and belonging, The General Union of Egyptians Abroad – Canada Chapter, led by Mr. Adel Boulos, in cooperation with The Cultural Office of the Egyptian Consulate General in Montreal, headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jaber, hosted a massive community screening for the Egypt vs. Belgium World Cup 2026 match.

Massive Turnout: The event witnessed a large gathering of the Egyptian community from Montreal and its surrounding Canadian cities.

Authentic Egyptian Atmosphere: Equipped with a giant viewing screen, the venue allowed attendees to follow the match in an enthusiastic, pride-filled atmosphere, blending a deep love for the national team with nostalgia for the homeland.

Official & Prominent Presence: The event was attended by Consul Mostafa Issa, who joined to support the community, alongside founding members and participating associations of the Union, including Mr. Adel Iskander and Dr. Mireille Wassef.

Fighting Spirit: Attendees highly praised the strong and honorable performance of the national team under the leadership of Manager Hossam Hassan and his technical staff against one of football’s global powerhouses.
